The staff were the one bright spot. They were excellent, cordial, and communicated well. The rest of the stay was nowhere near what I expect from a Marriott. I've been a Marriott member for more than 25 years, and this hotel makes me wonder why Marriott lets it operate under its name. It felt rundown and never renovated, with old, rustic interiors and a shady-looking exterior. The room was neat, but the mattress was uncomfortable, perhaps because of its age. There was no early check-in. Breakfast wasn't available even an hour before closing when my family went down, and when it was available for me at opening, it didn't meet the standard either. The price is low, but I'd spend a little more to stay elsewhere if you're loyal to Marriott, or look for a much cheaper hotel from another brand in the area. If you only need a place to rest and move on and have no other choice, this might do. I wouldn't recommend staying here or spending your money on it. It's damaging the Marriott name and pushing loyal customers away.

The room at TownePlace Suites by Marriott was roomy and comfortable, with a very nice bed and extra towels available. The staff were welcoming and kind, which made the stay better. Breakfast comes free, but the continental choices were sparse. They had milk, but no cereal or substantial breakfast food unless you bought it at the front desk. A good place for a comfortable, spacious stay, as long as you don't expect much from breakfast.

After seeing some reviews, I was a little nervous. I travel for work a lot and have stayed in plenty of extended-stay hotels, but this one stood out in a good way. The room was spotless, the furniture felt new, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. I didn't see any bugs or roaches. The lobby felt clean and welcoming right away, and the staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. Whatever I needed, they took care of it. The housekeeping team was sweet and seemed proud of their work, always ready to help with a smile. There was lots of parking, a full breakfast, and an atmosphere that made me feel looked after. Whether you're staying one night or longer, this place offers comfort and kindness.

We'd booked the wrong hotel, but since it was already booked, we decided to stay. The woman who checked us in was so kind. The room was old and dated, and just okay. The pullout couch felt like a box spring. Breakfast wasn't worth it. The woman serving the food was miserable and rude, with a terrible attitude. We were told breakfast ended at 9:30, but when we came down around 8:30 everything was cold and soggy. I asked for waffle syrup and was told they'd used it up and she wasn't making more. The brown sugar was so hard I couldn't break it apart. You get what you pay for, I guess. Residence Inn by Marriott was much better across the board, from the room and staff to the food.

The toilet leaked all night during my first stay. I found water all over the bathroom floor when I went in, and assumed it had just been mopped, so I laid down a towel and went to bed. By morning the floor was soaked again. I was sleeping in a room with a leak, and nobody had caught or fixed it before I arrived. I reported it at the front desk and was moved to a handicap-accessible room because I was told it was all they had. That room was just as bad, maybe worse. The sheetrock around the AC showed obvious water damage, the bathroom floor was damaged around the toilet, there was rust in the shower, and the fire alarms were loose and literally hanging off the wall. That's a safety hazard. I was so uncomfortable and disgusted that I took all my things out of the room and left them in my car. After my event, I didn't even go back. I wasn't spending another minute there. Those nightly rates are outrageous for rooms in this condition. The place is outdated and poorly maintained, more like a neglected roadside motel than a hotel. This was easily one of the worst hotel stays I've had, and I'd never return. I'd strongly tell anyone considering it to stay far away.
