Inn by the River

Really good value. Freda gave us a warm welcome, and the room was clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed. There’s a BBQ and fire pit by the river. We didn’t use the pool, though it looked clean. We also had a nice chat with Freda’s mom while she was working in the garden. Would definitely recommend.

The river area had a fire pit, and there was a clean pool, but the cold, rainy weather kept us from enjoying either. We’ll have to return for that. Frieda welcomed us when we arrived, after we’d booked ahead while on our way to Laconia Bike Week. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot with good pressure and thick towels. We also liked the covered walkway in front of the rooms. We recommend it!

We slept well in the firm Q beds, and the new white towels were nice. The fridge was clean and cold, and there was a microwave. They brought us ice and a blow dryer when we asked, and coffee and tea were available. The place is rustic and a little worn, with bathroom floor tiles that were sort of mangled, but it worked perfectly for our one night passing through by bike or car. We’d stay again. Out back, we relaxed by the river at the picnic tables and fire pit at the end of the day.

It has that cabin-in-the-woods feel, and the room was really clean with lots of pillows and blankets. The fridge, microwave, and modern sink looked nice too. The area feels tucked into the woods, though there’s a gas station, store, and places to eat less than 1,000 feet up the road.
