Please be careful with the restroom door if you're staying here with kids or older people. It's heavy, and the sliding rail keeps getting stuck, so you have to pull hard to close it. When it suddenly slides freely, it's easy to get hurt. My wife caught her fingers between the wall and the door and got a deep cut and bruises. I went to the front desk for a first aid kit, but they didn't have much. I tried calling customer service to report the issue and kept getting hung up on. A month later, the company still hasn't responded. I don't want this happening to you or your family. The attached picture was taken at the time of the incident.

I spent 21 days at the hotel in November of 2025. Soon after checking in, I asked the receptionist whether my gold member food and beverage credit could go toward gratuity. The answer was an uncertain “yes, it can be used.” After tipping the staff generously during my stay, I was left with a bill over $100. I called to get clarification and was told they couldn't do anything. Just be warned: even if someone says yes, the bill will tell the final tale.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and they had foam pillows. The lobby was nice and clean, though it would've been useful to have a work spot there, like a table with a charging station. Instead there were lots of couches and low tables for lounging. The hotel shares a parking lot with the convention center, and there are some restaurants a short drive away. Service was great, the staff were friendly, the room and hotel were clean, and the amenities were good. The restaurant opens at 5pm. There's also a store with coffee, snacks, and alcohol, plus a free airport shuttle. I'd definitely stay again.

I've been here for a Red Cross disaster response, an event supporting flood victims, and a banquet just this past Saturday. It can feel a little cold inside. My guess is they keep it on the cool side because the air conditioner has a hard time keeping up when there are four or five hundred people. If you're holding a conference in Harlingen, this is your spot.
