Windamar Beach Resort

The area was clean and peaceful, and the beach was only a few steps away. I liked the spacious rooms, full and half bathrooms, kitchen, pools, and hot tub. I came back feeling less stressed and happier, and hope to visit more often. Thank you.

The location is great, but I'm very disappointed with how dirty the room was when we checked in. On our second day I asked when it would be cleaned and was told check-ins were being prioritized, with the maids coming in the evening. I contacted the staff several times because the room hadn't even been cleaned before our arrival, and they said we'd be prioritized. Two days later, no maid had come.

The little restaurant right next door was fantastic, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly too. The pool closing at dusk, somewhere around 6 to 8 p.m., was disappointing since it left little chance to swim in the evening. The hotel has clearly been remodeled over time, but still feels dated. For the price, I personally wouldn't choose it again. It seems more suited to a Spring Break crowd than someone wanting a more comfortable stay with extra touches like better coffee and higher-quality pillows.

The staff were super nice and accommodating, and the hotel is close to the beach. But there isn't much nearby besides expensive restaurants. We only stayed one night, and I would've had to leave if we were there longer. The sink and shower stayed clogged, so we had to bathe in standing water that was disgusting and cloudy.
