Super 8 by Wyndham Harlingen TX

The staff were all friendly and accommodating, and there were some nice light breakfast options. My two-day stay was great, even with lots of exterior and interior updates going on.

The rooms were super clean, breakfast was free for guests, and the customer service was fantastic. They also let us check out late without charging extra. I'd highly recommend the place and would definitely come back.

The bathroom reeks of pee, the whole place feels damp, and the AC looks older than my great grandma, held together with aluminum tape. On top of that, they couldn't fix a reservation mistake even though I booked through their website. Canceling and rebooking cost me almost double. Not worth it.

The only thing this Wyndham has going for it is the location. We were visiting family, but I won't return. There was no phone, coffee, soap, shampoo, or TV remote in the room. I asked several times for the remote and got nothing; the front desk blamed housekeeping. The building was under construction and the pool was closed, so it really only offers a clean bed and shower. It's not worthy of the Wyndham brand. Stay next door. Breakfast was a letdown both days. The waffle batter and coffee were empty, and a desk sign said they'd be out for the next 15 minutes. The choices were all sugar or bread. The hard boiled eggs didn't smell fresh and may have been refrigerated for several days. Worst Wyndham I've ever stayed in.
