Candlewood Suites Harrisonburg by IHG

Check-in was quick, and the room was clean and well equipped. They even left a water bowl for our dog. The morning coffee was brewed by machine for each guest, but it was better than the watered-down drip coffee many hotels serve. We had a fantastic stay and will absolutely stop here again when we’re passing through.

We left today after a little over two weeks, and I already miss the place. I travel a lot and spend half my life in hotels, but this was one of my best stays. The room felt like our own little home, thoughtfully designed, modern, cozy, peaceful, and comfortable enough to live in, not just sleep in. Everything was spotless, from the comfy bed to the new, sparkling bathroom, and the TV was modern and easy to use. The kitchen was amazing, fully equipped and convenient, and we used it the whole time. Hot water was always available, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout, which is rare in my experience. Most of all, every staff member was kind, warm, thoughtful, and real. They handled everything without stress and made us feel welcome, safe, and cared for. Thanks for making those two weeks feel so easy and homey. I genuinely miss it already.

My wife stayed here in September to visit our daughter at college, and it was one of her worst hotel experiences. She paid $900 for three nights in a small town, yet had to change rooms four times before finding one without an odor. There was no hot water, which she was told happened because several guests were showering at once. Her TV was broken, and staff complained about noise even though there was no party. The general manager, Mrs. Candi Clarke, was unhelpful when we raised these issues and offered only a $50 credit. When I followed up, she abruptly ended the call. I also asked to speak with the owner, jay pappi swami llc, but they wouldn’t connect us. The service and facilities fell well below an acceptable standard, and I’d strongly advise against staying here.

I spent three months at Candlewood suite in Harrisonburg VA, and the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and at home. Special thanks to Mr. William, the General Manager, and Miss Candy, the Assistant Manager. They were kind, professional, and dedicated to making my stay comfortable, and their leadership showed throughout the hotel. I’m grateful I got to experience their hospitality. I’d highly recommend Candlewood suite to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. Thank you, Mr. William and Miss Candy, for making my time there memorable!
