Budget Inn Caravan Motel

We paid $60 for room 134 from 1/12/21 to 1/13/21. The heater didn't work, the toilet seat wasn't attached, and the sheets had black stains. Someone had also written on the bathroom mirror with permanent marker. The sign brags about clean rooms, but ours was terrible. We'll stay somewhere else next time.

The tub had been cleaned immaculately, and the room itself was clean. We chose this older motel knowing what to expect, and if you like the seventies look, you'd probably love it. The trouble started when the toilet clogged and we had to hurry to pack and find a bathroom elsewhere. The office was closed. The owner came over as we were getting into the car, and we told her about the clog, but she didn't apologize. There was no coffee, either. The quick stop gas station was very accommodating, but we wouldn't recommend this motel. Our first room had smelled like smoke, so the owner had offered us another one.

I don't stay there myself, but all the guys I work with do. Their single rooms are pretty open, which is nice. We stay weekly and work in the heat all day, but the motel turns off the A/C during the day. It's the cheapest place in town, so you can imagine the crowd it draws. The doors use actual keys, so I wouldn't expect it to be the safest. If saving money matters and you don't care about glamour, it could work. I'd rather pay extra for somewhere a little less rough around the edges.

The owners are really friendly people, and the staff are amazing. Our room and the other guests have been no problem at all. It's very clean and quiet, and we get room service each day. I'd recommend staying here.
