The location is beautiful and peaceful, with lots to do, and the workers are great. The rooms were clean and nice, but the walls let through every sound. I could hear people moving around the building or using the bathroom all night. The beds were a bit hard, too. I'd come for a day trip, but I wouldn't stay overnight again. Worst night's sleep ever.

We took our toddler to the Christmas illuminated evening, and it was such a lovely visit. There was music, crafts, a tractor ride, and the friendliest Santa. It was nice that the place wasn't packed, which made it even more enjoyable. Can't believe more people weren't there. We'll absolutely come back and stay in one of the buildings next time.

We went to the Christmas Market for the day, so this wasn't an overnight visit, though we're planning a stay. The staff were friendly, and Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill was easy to find. The village buildings and programs are lovely, with a fascinating history. The rural setting is gorgeous, and there are wonderful walking and hiking trails and chances to enjoy nature.

Docent Melinda was delightful and full of information about the Shaker society. She also gave the music presentation, and her voice was angelic. I had the best hamburger and fries I've ever eaten at the Table Restaurant, where the food was farm to table. I visited this lovely historic landmark for the day and didn't stay overnight at the Inn. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot in the countryside outside Lexington. I'd suggest spending two days here to see and do everything.

The architecture is amazing, and each visit seems to reveal something new. This time I paid closer attention to the Shakers' medical practices, which I'd never really noticed before. It's fascinating to see how a different culture not only survived but thrived. Visiting feels like stepping into another time and world, right in your own backyard.
