Motel 6 Harvey, IL

Sandy, the front desk crew, housekeeping, and the reservation call center were all kind and accommodating. The motel was clean, quiet, and felt safe, which made it a great stop for us while traveling for an evaluation of advanced kidney disease. It’s become our new place to stay between home and wherever this journey takes us. Thank you, Motel 6 Harvey!

The location worked out really well for us, with a reasonable price, easy access toward downtown Chicago, and a handy place to cool down after the casino. I stayed for the weekend with my family and dog, and the regular residents were welcoming. Front desk staff were accommodating, housekeeping was ready to help, and for the size and location, the service was great. We had a comfy stay.

It’s an okay place to stay for a night or a few weeks, and my pets were welcomed without any fuss. The rooms were clean, the property was kept up, and Sandy and a few others were friendly and helpful. When my mini fridge needed replacing, maintenance handled it quickly. That said, housekeeping repeatedly refused to bring towels. Policies also weren’t explained until I needed help or had already broken one. Security made an effort to patrol, but a man still opened my supposedly locked window from behind the building and got into my room, saying he thought it was his wife’s. Ofcr Mack made sure the window could no longer open and checked back in after it happened. So, stay at your own risk. Guests have all sorts of personalities, and staff can be different depending on the day and everyone’s attitude. Good luck.

I keep choosing this Motel 6 because I feel safe there, the rooms are clean, and the staff are honest and ready to help when something comes up. There are plenty of other places just a few blocks away, but this one has won me over. The front desk team is especially friendly, helpful, and professional. I can’t remember everyone’s name, though they all deserve credit. Sandy is one I do remember because she always greets you with a smile and makes sure you’re taken care of. It’s the best Motel 6 I’ve stayed at, and I highly recommend it.
