Nichols Inn of Hastings

The pool area and big hot tub were fantastic, and the staff were friendly and capable. We also appreciated the daily room refresh from housekeeping. Breakfast had a good range, including waffle and omelette machines. We stayed five nights for a ski vacation, and the location worked perfectly, about 20 minutes from Afton Alps or Welch Village. It was priced more reasonably than the nearby chain hotels.

We loved the place and plan to return. The room was clean and great, and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It's a nice mom-and-pop hotel near scenic areas, with a good breakfast and a great price.

The complimentary breakfast was good, with omelette and waffle stations and decent toppings. I also liked that the hotel allows pets. Overall it was a pleasant stay, and I'd consider coming back. The inn was very clean and the staff welcoming. My favorite feature was the tea and coffee bar that's open around the clock. The pool was great, and both it and the hot tub were accessible for people with disabilities. The tub was clean, too, but only the jet by the steps worked. I had a king room, 111. From the recliner, I had to hold the remote over my head to change channels. The desk chair was uncomfortable enough that, with my back problems, I couldn't sit in it for more than about 15 minutes. Laundry was my biggest frustration: the washer and dryer were $2.50 each, detergent was $1.50, and it all took quarters. The front desk didn't have enough quarters to make change. It'd be helpful if they kept more or installed a change machine.

The place was clean and everything was nice. Breakfast was better than the usual hotel spread. Jerri, Bobbie and Linda were so welcoming and lovely. Thanks, ladies, for a great stay. I wish every hotel felt like this one.
