Holiday Inn Express Hattiesburg West Univ Area by IHG

The room and lobby were clean and nice, and the room was just right for our stop. There was some noise at night, though I think that's simply how hotels can be. What stood out most was how kind everyone was, from the front desk through breakfast. They were so friendly and went out of their way for my family. It's the kindest hotel staff I've ever experienced.

The staff were all so friendly and went beyond what you'd expect to help. Everything looked almost brand new, and this was one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of veggie choices, and they even had boxes to take breakfast items to go. There was a free hot chocolate and coffee bar, too. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the down pillows were just as good. Eleven out of ten, highly recommend!

My son attends USM, and when he came to meet us, the check-in staff offered to take a photo since we hadn't seen each other in six months. Such sweet women. The hotel was a wonderful surprise for us, since we travel extensively both in and outside the country. Breakfast staff were lovely and helpful, and I appreciated the Greek yogurt and the machine that brews each cup of coffee fresh. We also made use of the hot chocolate bar on that chilly weekend, choosing from the different syrups to customize our cocoa. Housekeeping always greeted us with a smile in the halls, and the location was perfect.

From the late-night employee who checked us in to the kitchen crew and the person at checkout, everyone was very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic, too. The room was so clean it smelled nice, and it was comfortable. Kudos to the whole team at this location. I wish every place we stayed was like this. We'll make it our place to stay when we're in the area again. Keep it up!
