Super 8 By Wyndham Hattiesburg North

I'm not staying here again. The water wasn't hot, and the sausage and egg patties were cold, still frozen. There were also dirty socks left in the supposedly clean room.

The front desk woman was friendly and helpful, and even showed us how to open the door with the card key. Our Wyndham Rewards membership made reserving through the app easy. The location is convenient to the interstate but not in a noisy area. We stayed one night in Room 102. It's a bit old-fashioned, with doors that open to the outside. The toilet handle had to be held down for at least three seconds to flush. Soundproofing was poor: we could hear a kid running above us, birds outside, housekeeping's cart on the concrete, and cars starting. The room felt like Grand Central Station.

The location is great, off the highway and in a quiet area. The customer service was great too, and the room was very clean and cozy. Room 109 had a kitchen and bedroom. It smelled like a new hotel, with brand-new carpet and fresh paint. The bathtub was so clean I would have taken a bath in it. Very pleased and comfortable for a Super 8.

The location was good and the staff were friendly enough, but we found bed bugs when we checked the beds after getting into the room. There was gunk on the walls, one door lock was broken, and the bathroom door wouldn't shut. We told the front desk right away, and they did what they could to refund us. I'm sure we'll get our money back through Expedia's side.
