Hoomaikai Blessing's

We only booked one night, and soon wished we’d stayed longer. The house was clean and cared for, and our room was nice, with a little kit of essentials that was a thoughtful touch. There’s one bathroom shared by three rooms, but we had the house to ourselves, so it wasn’t a problem. My husband wasn’t feeling well, so we canceled our day trip and arrived very early, around 11 AM. Kelly was happy to let us check in then so he could rest. She was warm and accommodating, and the quiet location made it easy to relax. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and was stocked with essentials, along with lots of snacks. Breakfast was a lovely bonus: burritos, fresh fruit, coffee and tea, and Kelly’s freshly baked muffin. She’d even baked muffins on the day we arrived, and we loved them. There aren’t many restaurants or shops nearby, but we had a great stay and would recommend it.

The grounds were beautiful, everything was clean, and I loved falling asleep to the sounds of nature. Kelly and Roger were so kind, and breakfast each morning was wonderful. They also had plenty of snacks and drinks available. We’d stayed at the Waikiki Grand Hotel before coming here, and Hoomaikai was leagues better. I wish we’d booked more nights. If we make it back to Hawaii, I’ll be coming here again, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Kelly was incredibly welcoming, and you can tell she loves doing this from the heart. The breakfast was fantastic, made with care, and we’ll miss those muffins. I wish we’d stayed longer. Anyone coming to Hawaii should consider staying here.

We were worn out from camping through the weather for our first few nights on the Big Island, so we booked this place on a whim. Kelly greeted us with snacks and fresh toiletries, then offered to make breakfast. We had an early flight and told her we appreciated it but didn’t expect her to get up. She insisted it was no trouble, and at 6 am we woke to fresh muffins and egg casserole. Her kindness was exactly what we needed to turn the trip around. We’d happily stay here again.
