That shower felt amazing after a long, cold day stopping at beaches along 101, and the bed was really comfortable too. My girlfriend and I came across this place tucked in the woods on our last drive down the highway. Check-in took less than five minutes, and Jerome was helpful from the start, making sure we had a good stay. The casino next door was a great bonus: no indoor smoking, $2 draft Bud Lights, and penny slots. We also liked the bar and grill. I’ve had good service at other Holiday Inn locations, but this one went above and beyond. We think it’s the best place to stop around Klamath.

There’s no cell service for several miles around, so get directions using the Wi-Fi before heading out. Across the road are a residential area and recreation center, and you may see people walking past the parking lot, though I never felt unsafe. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even though we arrived very late, checking in was no problem. Our spacious room was comfortable, with a large bed that was nicely plush without being too soft, plus a surprisingly nice couch. The shower was huge, but the bathroom was absolutely freezing. I’d give the place a 4.5 and would stay again.

The food was excellent, and the staff working on the food side were attentive and great. The casino was a fun extra, and there was plenty of parking. The spot felt convenient and safe, with no safety concerns at all. I’d put the location at 3.5 out of 5, though it leaned closer to 4, so I gave it 4 stars. The rooms were okay, but my room on the top floor had a strange smell, almost like mildew or mold. It affected my allergies, though I put up with it. I took off a full star because of one attendee’s behavior the morning we checked out. My friend asked whether the gift shop was open since the door was open but the sign said closed. The woman was rather rude and complained about staff in either the restaurant or casino section. A simple yes or no would have been enough. As a Platinum and former Diamond, I was a bit shocked by her attitude. Still, it was a good stay and worked well for our travel plans.

The hotel’s location in the middle of the national park was ideal. We had a pleasant stay overall, though the refrigerator made a strange noise, so we had to unplug it. The Wi-Fi was pretty slow that day.
