avid hotel Hays by IHG

The rooms were on the small side, but that didn't bother us, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The Valentines Day Decorations were cute, and the breakfast attendant was really nice and hardworking. We could hear people walking overhead through the thin walls, so we had to leave the fan running to cover the footsteps. Still, we'd stay here again for a basic stay.

The A/C worked great, and the front desk girl was really hot, but I barely slept. The walls were paper thin, and I could hear people in other rooms banging around all night. The room phone didn't work either, and the shower door wouldn't stay closed. I'll be passing through Hayes often, but I won't stay here again.

The service was great, and the Wi-Fi was fast once I connected to ihg studio, though I had to ask the front desk for the password. There was coffee available around the clock, and the food was okay, about what you'd expect in the US. I stopped here on a road trip. The hotel felt nice and modern, and the room had a bit of a smell, but otherwise everything was good.

The worst problem was the crib: dried baby poop was crusted on its base and bars. The bathroom also hadn't been cleaned properly, with several dark hairs in the bed, shower, sink, and on the floor. Our king room was so tiny we couldn't even roll the provided crib to either side of the bed. For around the same price, we've stayed in much nicer, cleaner places. This wasn't worth the $120+ we paid. If you're in Hays, I'd probably skip it.
