Econo Lodge Near Bellevue Square

I was nervous about staying here because of the reviews, but the customer service was a 10/10. We chose it for The Weeknd concert. When we got to our room, the bathroom towels were dirty and the garbage can was full, so I went to the front desk. The representative was professional and accommodating, and quickly moved us to a clean room. I'd rate the cleaning 5/10. You get what you pay for, but we had a pleasant stay and would come back to get away from Seattle's busy streets. (OYO was recently bought by the Econo Lodge)

Check-in was easy, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, with good pillows, and the room worked as a place to sleep, though it wasn't fancy. The bathroom needed a more thorough cleaning, and there's a lingering smell that makes the whole room unpleasant. For that, this should've cost $50, not $75.

The front desk said they'd tell the manager, and the housekeeping supervisor made excuses. She seemed to feel bad, at least, but I didn't even get an apology or offer of an adjustment to the bill. I checked into room 257 late last night and found what looked like sex stains on the bedspread. The only front desk person was there, so I took it off and tossed it in the corner. This morning I noticed mold on the shower curtain, which brushed against my ankle. It's an older property, and people can forgive that if it's clean. I won't consider staying here again.

Nothing fancy, just an okay stay. The pool was nice and useful in the hot weather, and housekeeping did a wonderful job. The day and night front desk staff weren't very friendly, though. They wouldn't let me bring breakfast upstairs for my kids and made me take the food back, which felt weird. The stay was mediocre, just as I expected.
