Historic Home w/ Garden, 4 Mi to Lincoln Financial

Yowie Hotel is my pick for a boutique stay in Philadelphia, and I'd definitely return next time I'm in the area. I loved how easy check-in was: a friendly staff member texted me access codes for the building and my room. I'd never checked in that way before. The room was spotless and comfortable, with a modern, roomy bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette where I made breakfast. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful décor felt almost like a magazine, but still warm and inviting. The location was great for exploring, with restaurants, bars, Philadelphia attractions, and the Philadelphia Convention Center all within walking distance.

The neighborhood has an artsy feel, with lots of little shops and bars and restaurants. We were there for an art show. The hallways are narrow, but the rooms are lovely and spacious. There's an elevator, and the cafe at the entrance serves delicious fresh coffee and other goodies.

I love boutique hotels, and Yowie hotel lived up to what I expect: it's clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and attentive when we had questions. The keyless entry was great, as was having a cafe right below our room. It's in a lovely neighborhood. They provide earplugs for street noise and husbands who snore. I'd recommend this unique place when visiting Philly.

I was initially unsure about the staff-less setup, but getting into the building and my room was seamless. When I had questions, the staff were quick to help by text and phone. The only downside was some evening noise outside, with people coming and going from the restaurants and bars. Even so, I'd stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a distinctive Philly stay. Yowie was a great find if you want to skip the big Center City hotels for somewhere with neighborhood charm. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, and the rooms have helpful recommendations. I love coffee, so I especially liked the local shop just around the corner for a pastry and breakfast. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a cool vibe with thoughtful, unique touches.
