Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport

This hotel feels comfortable and homey. La’Shay and Bre gave excellent customer service, making guests feel respected, appreciated, and welcomed. They worked hard to meet guest needs within their limits, and their knowledge, helpfulness, dedication, and care make them a real asset to the Bonvoy Marriott/Sheraton organization. They deserve recognition for their commitment and passion. Tiffany and Heather are also awesome hosts at the restaurant and bar, and help make this Sheraton a better place. -Terrell T. I stayed at both ends of a U.S. trip and wish I'd remembered to cancel after the first night. The air conditioning was far too loud in both rooms, and neither room had shower gel. The food was poor and overpriced. The staff were nice but stretched very thin. The layout had all the charm of a Soviet-style military barracks. Hot air was blowing in the gym, and the "lounge" was just a room with stale coffee, water, and juice. Marriott, it's a hotel near an airport, so try to give the place a little cheer. Update: you can hear every bathroom visit and movement from the neighbor above. It's among the worst hotels I've stayed in.

The staff were kind when we spoke with them, but they also described ongoing problems with the cleaning crew and seemed extremely frustrated. I was repeatedly told to contact corporate. Since we had booked through a third party, they offered breakfast or parking instead of a refund, and it took a fight before we were told four days later that we would get our money back. I came to Philadelphia to stay at the Sheraton the night before my grandfather’s funeral. The bed looked clean, but once I pressed the sheets down onto the mattress pad soaked with urine, I ended up covered in the previous guest’s pee. It was disgusting and a serious bacterial exposure. The staff were frustrated, but I was the one left with this awful experience. Terrible. Don’t stay here.

The location is good and the facilities are okay, but the neighborhood around the hotel feels rough. There were people hanging around who didn’t seem to be guests, and the smell of weed hit me as soon as I got out of the car near the entrance. The front desk was short-staffed and not very welcoming. I guess Marriott can only do so much in a neighborhood like this. The bed needs replacing. I could clearly hear and feel the springs. Marriott can fix that, and a three-star hotel should have a better mattress.
