Four Points by Sheraton Philadelphia Northeast

The rooms are still comfortable and clean, and the staff have always been friendly, especially the evening bar team. I've stayed here several times a year for years when I'm in Philadelphia, though the place has started to show its age: peeling wallpaper and sinks and tubs that drain only partly. The new fragrance in the lobby and hallways is why I can't give this more than two stars. It's overpowering. I'm sensitive to scents, and my nose immediately gets stuffy and runny, and I start sneezing. The smell hangs around in my nose even after I leave. I'll have to stay somewhere else next time. I don't understand why they added perfume. Please go back to having no scent in those areas. It was better when the hotel smelled like nothing.

The rooms are consistently clean and nice, and the beds are comfortable. I've never had a problem here, and the staff have always been kind and accommodating. I come at least once a year for an event a little way down the road and plan to keep staying here when I drive out this way. I do wish the cost hadn't kept climbing over the years. Still, I suppose that's hard to avoid, since hotels of similar quality nearby charge about the same.

The area worked well for me, with plenty of shops nearby. I stayed a few nights over the holidays. The room was decent for the price, though there was peeling paint all over it.

I've stayed in two different rooms on separate visits, and both were basically fine. One had a bathroom lock that didn't work, and there could be more outlets by the beds. The reservations team and front desk were courteous and helpful. Even with a party downstairs, it was quiet upstairs. During my two-night visit the room wasn't cleaned between nights, so I had to ask for fresh towels.
