The location was good, and the service was decent, which helped. But after booking by phone, I waited about 20 minutes at the desk for someone to return. They said a manager would show us the room before we paid. I'm glad they did: it smelled strongly of urine, and the door looked as if it had blood splashed on it. The manager said they'd cleaned, but the odor wouldn't go away. I looked at my wife and our six-year-old and said we should pass. I've been in jail holding cells that were cleaner and smelled better. We didn't stay, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who cares about basic sanitation. It needs to be condemned. I had also asked on the phone whether there was remodeling or construction at the hotel. There was, because the first floor had recently flooded and they were repairing the damage.

I handed back the keycard and left. The room was dark and creepy around the bed, with only the entryway lit. It also smelled like someone had just smoked inside. There were no sheets or pillows, no towels or shower curtain, and trash on the floor. We checked in, saw the state of the room, and checked right back out. Don't stay here.

I paid $479 for a room that wasn't even two-star quality. The sink and bathroom were rusty, the toilet was dirty, and both the freezer and the outside of the refrigerator were filthy. There wasn't even a lounge chair. I'm very dissatisfied.

For less than $100 a night, this felt like a real bargain. It's conveniently placed near 270 and Lindbergh, so most things are close by. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful, and housekeeping didn't keep knocking over and over when I was a few minutes late. I had a wonderful stay.

The room was basic but fairly clean, and the price worked well for my work stay. The floors needed sweeping and definitely a mop, and the bathroom sink leaked. Rates were better than at nearby hotels. I'd stay again.
