The room stayed cozy and comfortable even in the cold, and the view was lovely. During the winter storm, the staff went out to clear snow around guests’ cars, which made getting on the road safer. We couldn’t see the Northern Lights because visibility was poor, but on a clear night you can watch them from the parking area. The lodge is about a 15-minute drive from Denali National Park, so it’s a handy place to stay while exploring. The staff were warm and welcoming through all that rough weather. We’d happily come back.

The price was the best I found around here, and breakfast was good: a hard-boiled egg, yogurt, fruit, juice, and a granola bar. Staff were very accommodating, even when I arrived at 2 a.m. It’s about 15 minutes from the Denali visitor center, with incredible views on the drive in.

The photos I saw before booking gave me low expectations, but the place was a pleasant surprise. The workers are so nice, the rooms feel luxurious, and they provide two free breakfast plates each morning. The location and occasional spotty Wi-Fi are the drawbacks. I really don’t get why it’s only a 2-star hotel.

We had 11 people spread across three rooms, and everyone was surprised by how much value we got for the price. The rooms were clean and well kept, and the front desk staff were pleasant. No problems during our stay, and the price was great. Roses Cafe next door had a cozy atmosphere and served a great breakfast.

A momma moose and her baby were grazing just five feet from my window when I woke up one morning! 😍 The rooms were clean and fairly priced, and breakfast was included. There’s also a microwave and mini fridge in the hotel.
