We stayed here for our anniversary last year and had such a comfortable time. The rooms have so much charm and character, and breakfast was delicious. We liked it enough to book another stay for this coming year. It’s becoming a yearly tradition for me and my husband, and I highly recommend the place.

The double bathtub in the Senator Suite was superb, very clean, and luxurious. That was the reason we booked, and it was well worth it. The room was spacious, and we enjoyed made-to-order sweet and savory crepes in the charming dining room, served by friendly staff. Check-in was relaxed and contactless, with the key and information waiting for us. The historic house is centrally located in Heber, a couple of blocks off the main road and close to restaurants and attractions. It has ornate Victorian decor, lacy curtains, and chandeliers, with plenty of parking outside. The carpeted staircases have no elevator. There’s a wide choice of pillows, but the springy bed left both of us with sore backs and shoulders overnight and aching by morning. We’re in our mid-thirties. The walls are thin, so we heard neighbors and traffic, though things quieted down at night. The property needs upkeep: chipped paint along the baseboards, peeling wallpaper, burned-out lights, towels with stains and holes, worn furniture, and a dirty rug made the place feel rundown. For around $300 on Valentine’s Day, it felt expensive for the experience, especially since Park City has upscale resorts at similar prices a short drive away. If you’re after a historic stay, it fits, but some maintenance would help.

The owners were so attentive and went above and beyond, and breakfast with the coffee was delicious every morning. We found the Bed & Breakfast beautiful, peaceful, and very comfortable, with a fantastic king-sized bed, jacuzzi, and separate bathroom. It had enough space for my mom to visit during the Sundance Film Festival. Being close to the free bus was a huge help for getting to and from the festival. I’d give it more than 10 stars!

We arrived Friday night after work for a weekend away, and check-in was effortless. We’re only about an hour from Heber, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. We stayed in the Royal Spa room. It was small but clean, cute, and cozy, with a huge spa tub, a chandelier in the bathroom, good makeup lighting, and tons of places to plug in. The heater was locked at one temperature and we got a little chilly, so bring another blanket if you run cold, though the extra sheets in the cabinet helped. Or take a soak in the tub to warm up. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, even though the menu wasn’t extensive. I especially liked the sour dough toast egg sandwich. The main room has tables for eating and hanging out. Chris and Matt were friendly and checked on us often. Ownership has recently changed, and they’ve streamlined things while keeping the charm. A few things to know: our room didn’t have a fridge, and I’ve heard there might be a shared one, so ask if you need one. The Royal Spa room is right by the kitchen, so you can hear breakfast being prepared, though it didn’t bother us. Most other rooms are upstairs and farther from the public areas. There was no herbal tea for non-coffee drinkers, but there were hot chocolate pods for the Kuerig. The location is convenient, with Midway five minutes west and Heber Main Street two blocks away. There’s plenty to do nearby, including riding the train, walking Main Street, visiting the Homestead Crater, and eating at the many local restaurants. We genuinely loved our stay and would recommend it.

We spent our 42nd wedding anniversary in the Grand Spa room, and it felt like staying in a king’s castle. The room’s lavish Victorian decor and beautiful chandelier made it special. Mike and Chris, the owners, served a delicious homemade breakfast and spent time chatting with us. From start to finish, our stay at The Heber Senator was amazing.
