Budget Inn

The room smelled bad, there was no hot water, and water covered the bathroom floor. The TV didn’t work, and daylight showed through a gap under the door. The sheets looked like they hadn’t been changed, with stains on the beds. The woman at the front desk was rude. I wouldn’t come back, and if I could rate it a quarter star, I would.

The man running the place was sitting outside drunk when we arrived Friday night. He tried to fight me and my friend, then stayed hostile for the whole time we were there. Complete weirdo.

We had no major complaints, aside from a few small repairs that seemed cosmetic. The bathroom’s pink tile was a bit much, and the listing photos made the motel look much nicer than it did in person. No breakfast was included, but we brought our own and had a microwave to prepare it. For the price, it was a good little motel. The refrigerator and microwave both worked. It was a hot day and the air conditioner wasn’t on when we arrived, so cooling the room took a while. We asked for a fan and got one right away. The towels looked a little gray but smelled clean. A party next door made things noisy until about 9:30 on Saturday night. If you have a service animal, make sure you aren’t charged extra for your companion. The hotel allows pets and has a $10 pet charge.

The room stayed cold even with the heater running. There was no hot water, and neither the room phone nor the TV remote worked. The remote batteries were dead.
