The rooms were very clean, with comfortable beds and pillows, and the water pressure and hot water were great. It had a relaxing feel, too. Getting in was easy: after booking a two-night stay, there was no front desk interaction, just a code for the room’s deadbolt. Highly recommended.
The room itself was cute, very clean, and did what we needed. Highway noise wasn’t too bad, though it felt a little close for my taste. The beds were okay, but could use more pillows. We arrived around 11 p.m. and had trouble seeing the door code, which was a new setup for us. The room was freezing, and it took a while to figure out the heat. We called, but after 10 p.m. it went to voicemail, so we weren’t sure the heat was working until we figured it out ourselves. We were glad breakfast was included, but there weren’t many choices. Then we got locked out after entering the code wrong several times. Another call went to voicemail since it was before 8 a.m. We waited outside in 37-degree weather for the door to reset.
The room came with two towels and only half a roll of toilet paper for a two-night stay. Road noise also made it hard to have a peaceful night. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation and keep scrolling. I booked through Booking.com for a room listed as pet friendly, but the motel signage said no pets were allowed when I arrived. The booking was nonrefundable, and there were no employees on site. After checking out, I found an additional $53 cleaning fee. I believe only a few rooms allow pets, and this is a deliberate scam to add fees. Beware.
We arrived late and left fairly early, so we didn’t get to enjoy the stay for long. Still, the room was clean and comfortable, and the TV was great. I loved being able to choose a room and use a code to get in, which made coming and going easy. The pillow was amazing, the first time I’ve ever had a hotel or motel pillow that felt perfect for sleeping.
The bathroom setup was awkward in Room 4D if you’re a larger guest. The toilet is squeezed between the shower’s glass door and the wall, with barely enough space to sit comfortably. We also had no spare toilet paper, and the roll provided was already half used. I called the manager at about 9:30 p.m., got voicemail, and heard nothing before we checked out at 7 a.m. The king bed was excellent, with soft sheets that felt just right. The room stayed dark, and outside noise mostly died down by evening. An occasional Jake brake could still wake you, depending on how tired you are. The bed and quiet were great, but attention to small details and the bathroom layout could be better.
