Hampton Inn Helen

My family had a great getaway in Helen. The Hampton is a nice choice, with free hot breakfast, views from our Riverview room, and an easy walk to downtown. The bedside charging station didn't work, and the shower had a slow leak. The rooms are starting to show a bit of wear, which is my only complaint. Still, I highly recommend staying here. It's a great spot in a great little town, with great views.

We spent our 25th anniversary weekend here, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a king bed, two chairs, a fireplace, and plenty of space, plus a deck with a nice river view. The bathroom's large whirlpool tub was a treat. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food, and there was plenty of seating.

We loved the fireplace and all the Christmas decorations, and Jamie, Hannah and Erica were so hospitable. The room was warm, clean and comfortable, with the best beds and pillows. The big TV was awesome, the shower was great, and even the shampoo and conditioner were really good. Breakfast was great too, and we enjoyed the free cookies, coffee and hot chocolate. The hotel was convenient, clean and warm. Five stars for all of it. We'll be back.

There was a lot of trash around the dog walk, and I kept having to pull it out of my dog's mouth every few minutes. That area really needs more attention. Even so, the location was excellent for enjoying town and coming and going easily. The building has a Bavarian look outside to fit Helen, while inside it's the familiar Hampton Inn style. The lobby was inviting and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Thanks for welcoming pets. Will helped me book the stay, then gave great service at check-in. He took his time marking key spots on a local map, made recommendations and offered bottled water after our long trip. Another outstanding stay with the Hampton!
