It’s an older building, so the hotel isn’t perfect, but the room was spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and parking was easy. The location is great, close to shops and restaurants. We’d stay here again.

It was my first visit to Helen, GA, and I’d absolutely stay at Quality Inn Downtown Helen again. Most places were walkable, and I liked that pets were welcome. Everyone working there was kind. Special thanks to Jonathan, who was so helpful and accommodating and made the stay a great experience. The rooms and grounds were clean. My mother enjoyed sitting by the campfire they lit outside each night. 10/10, I recommend it.

Check-in was simple, and the staff member was nice. But at 6:45 A.M. on the morning we left, roof removal for a repair started and woke everyone. It was so loud we thought the roof was coming off. As we checked out, the general manager met us in the office and said, “Oh well, deal with it,” when we explained the disruption. I would’ve stayed again if the manager hadn’t been so rude and dismissive. If something goes wrong, expect them to tell you to deal with it.

We were staying at Quality Inn and were woken in a panic by roof construction at 7:30 this morning. It sounded like elephants were stomping above our top-floor room, and the room was shaking. The front desk said the work was meant to begin at 11:00, but manager Vishal Champaneri told the crew to come early. Nobody warned us about the construction or tried to place us farther away from it. They could have put us in the other building by the office, or at least on the ground floor. He hasn’t made any effort to address what happened, which makes me think he doesn’t care about guest comfort. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel’s only plus was being close to everything. Our room wasn’t clean, and we had to ask for fresh sheets. There was hair in the sink and bathroom too. We stayed one day and were ready to leave. I wouldn’t come back.
