Comfort Inn Henderson - Evansville South

Anne makes and serves a consistently good Continental breakfast. She's very sweet and welcoming, and you can tell she loves what she does. When I visit my family in Henderson, we always stay at the Comfort Inn in Henderson, KY. The rooms and amenities are nice, and the price is reasonable.

The pool is very nice, and I had a good stay. It was really hot in the hallway, though, and the weather during my stay was incredibly hot. The older, one-style vent AC units are outdated, even though mine worked great in the room. The bathtub was very outdated too. Those things didn't bother me, but with the high price for a single room, the place isn't special enough to justify the cost. It was very clean.

The facility itself was pleasant, but the staff's rude behavior overshadowed the stay. I accidentally booked this location in the Choice Rewards app when we meant to stay at the Sleep Inn, and soon regretted the mistake. At check-in, staff were concerned about my service dog. I understood that, and answered their questions without hesitation or attitude, even though some of them aren't legally allowed. After a couple of days, the staff became increasingly rude. The day before we were due to leave, one person confronted me and asked when we were leaving, saying we were messing up their "ARP" numbers because we'd used our rewards points and stayed free. We didn't request room service or have housekeeping clean the room, and weren't aware of causing any problems. I even used the stairs and a side entrance so my service dog wouldn't be in anyone's way. I won't stay at a Comfort Inn again, and highly advise others to avoid the one in Henderson KY. If you join a rewards program, don't get mad at people for using points they've earned.

The room was okay apart from the door issues and key cards that didn't work.
