This place was just nasty. The website photos don’t show how run-down it really is, including the front office. The bathroom was filthy, with hair everywhere, and the bed was uncomfortable. There were dingy, dirty towels in the room. A cleaner smell doesn’t mean the place is clean. There’s no coffee station, and although they said there was cable, there was no cable or phone access. The only thing available was Wi-Fi, which was fine since I had my computer. The guy at the front desk said they’d been there 12 years. I told him they should have shut down years ago because it was a rundown franchise motel. He was rude and abrupt, and made me feel uncomfortable. I’d asked the day before to stay until 1 o’clock so I could rest, but when a guy knocked and then walked in while my friend and I were there, with me in the bathroom, that was it. I gathered my things and left early. I felt racism in the way he spoke to my friend when he came to the room and opened the door abruptly. I booked at the last minute. If I’d known what it was like, I wouldn’t have booked it at all. I definitely don’t recommend it. Ghetto fabulous!

The manager refunded me when I decided not to stay, and both the desk clerk and maid were polite and understanding. I’d checked in reluctantly, but left a couple of hours later because I didn’t feel safe. Some guys were wandering around the parking lot and seemed to be watching my car and bike/kayak. The ice machine was out of order, the floor smelled strongly of disinfectant, the A/C control was in disrepair, and the grounds looked like they needed cleaning and maintenance. There was a busy road right out front, and the area seemed sketchy. This is the worst motel I’ve ever almost stayed at.

My stay was awful. I knew it might not be perfect when I booked, but I was in a bind after all my belongings and money had been stolen and just needed somewhere to sleep. I booked two days. I didn’t expect people to try to break into my room at 9 a.m., and I won’t stay here again, even if I’m ever that desperate. Don’t stay here alone. The biggest issue was feeling unsafe. Check that your windows are locked when you arrive. Mine weren’t. On the second night, I noticed people going in and out through a window in a room a few doors down, so I checked mine. They were unlocked too. Security eventually seemed to kick them out, but people still kept trying. The next morning, someone woke me by trying to push open my window. The room also wasn’t as advertised. There was no coffee maker, fridge, or TV remote. About an hour after I got in, the previous guest knocked to say she’d taken the remote by accident. You’d think housekeeping would have replaced it before renting the room again. There was no shampoo or conditioner, just two bars of soap. When I called the front desk, the guy said the whole hotel only had six bottles of shampoo. They charged a $100 deposit, unlike the Motel 6 on Tropicana. They don’t accept electronic cards or offer a way to pay online. Horrible experience.

I was there just a few hours with some people I’d only just met. The room was clean and the bed was soft, so my new friends might get me a room again soon.

There’s no ice machine or coffee, and most of the outlets don’t work. The bathroom is about the size of an airplane bathroom, and the beds are uncomfortable and at different heights. My key card never worked during my stay, so I had to keep asking the concierge or housekeeper to let me in. The housekeeper was extremely nice and helpful. Another family tried to enter my room, telling me they’d been assigned it. When I called about the problems, Andrew, the morning concierge, had the nerve to tell me to get a refund and go somewhere else. I know you get what you pay for, but this isn’t what I paid $400 for! 😡😡😡
