The room reeked of cigarette and marijuana smoke, so we didn’t go in and asked at the desk for another one. You’d have thought I’d slapped the desk clerk for asking. We paid a deposit for our midsized, well-trained dog, but they kept it even though we didn’t walk the dog on the property. We’re very mindful and respectful of places that allow pets. There were strange holes in the ceiling and around the smoke detectors that looked like cameras might be in them. Very weird and creepy. There are no extras at all.

On my second visit, I ran 3.5 miles (5km) on the quiet back roads near the hotel in the morning. I’d started with a short jog on my first stay, after learning the fitness room mentioned in the hotel information was no longer there.

Both Quality Inns on this trip were okay, nothing offensive. This one has a decent neighborhood, a moderate price, was clean, and is easy to reach from I85. 👍🏻🍀👌🏼🤸🏼♂️

The room smelled of urine and animals, and the bed had stains and hair on the sheets. The towels had hair too. I’d booked the weekend but couldn’t stay in that filth. The place felt dirty and unsafe, and the lobby being locked at night with a very thick chain around the door didn’t help. The managers were rude and no help at all. Wish zero stars were an option.

The door wouldn't lock, there was broken glass in the walkway, and the room hadn't been vacuumed. I also found roaches, dirty towels, broken lamps, and flat sheets used as fitted sheets. Stay away!
