1898 Waverly Inn

The 1898 Wavery Inn gave us a lovely home-away-from-home gathering during winter break. My sister and her family, who live locally, were in the middle of major renovations, and we wanted the college-age cousins to spend time together before heading back to school. The common rooms were cozy, with snacks, board games, and an old piano for the young adults. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of food to cover everyone's dietary requests. Mike even made a little extra for my son one morning to make sure he was happy. We made great memories with our almost-grown kids, and Mike and Tracey welcomed all of us so warmly.

We were there for Palmyra Takeover weekend and had the best time. The rooms felt cozy, the location was great, and breakfast was really good. Mike, Tracey, and the staff were so welcoming. I'd happily recommend it and hope to come back.

Being able to walk into downtown Hendersonville made the location especially convenient, and we got great local restaurant suggestions. Every meal we tried was spot on. We also loved unwinding on the porch in the quiet, with that classic Southern feel. The inn has a warm, inviting atmosphere and an authentic vintage character, like a well-kept time capsule. Our room was comfortable, I slept well in the bed, and the clawfoot tub was a fun historic touch. Mike took great care of us, including helping early the next morning when we'd forgotten to submit our breakfast order the night before. Breakfast was delicious, and the waffles were among the best we've had. The evening social hour was a nice extra, with local blackberry cider and chocolate chip cookies. The place feels thoughtfully cared for, and we're already looking forward to another visit.

We had a great stay at 1898 Waverly House and will be back. Breakfast was five-star on its own, and the service was A plus. Downtown restaurants and shops were an easy walk, and we took side trips to Jump off rock and hiked to several waterfalls. Loved everything!
