Inn Towne Motel

The photos gave a misleading impression. We thought the place looked gross, with people hanging out of dirty motel doorways smoking and watching us. The neighborhood seemed terrible, so we never even went inside. We felt safer driving to Erie docks and sleeping in the truck there for free vehicle camping.

I was worn out after 22 hours of providing security for a business in Frankfurt, and my company wanted me to work another 12-hour shift the next day. Going home and making it back on time wasn't an option, so I needed a room for the night. The Inn Towne Motel seemed like a good mix of price and amenities, and that turned out to be right. I paid $86 for room 102, which felt fair. The bed was comfortable, the room and spacious bathroom were clean, and the TV, mini fridge, and microwave were a nice surprise. I got a restful night's sleep and would stay again if I'm in the area.

It could use some TLC and looks pretty sketchy. Still, the staff were nice, the room was clean, and the AC was great and nice and quiet. Definitely rough around the edges, but not a bad motel.

The room was the cleanest one we had during our six-day trip, especially for the price. It had been renovated just a few weeks earlier and smelled good, and the bathroom was very clean. There was a noticeable cannabis smell outside the whole time, but our room was fine. I was there for the eclipse, and the owner kindly refunded me 55% for the extra night I had to cancel, even though I'd asked at check-in and he wasn't obligated to. I'd recommend the motel and would come back anytime I'm in the area.
