H2O Hermosa Beach Hotel

The location is sweet, just a short walk from the Hermosa Beach Pier. The friendly staff, cool vibe, easy grab-and-go breakfast, and EV charging in the parking area were all positives. The resort fee is $40 a night, which is common, but it adds up when you're already paying around $400 a night. Some parts of the property feel rushed, like contractors took shortcuts to get it ready for market. The paint is messy, outlets are very loose, and the water drains painfully slowly. They must use a shop vac to get all the water out. During breakfast, the cleaning solution also has an overpoweringly strong chemical smell. I appreciate a clean area, but wish they'd give me some space or use a gentler product.

I was there for a couple of nights on business. The rooms are very nice and the location is great, but sound travels everywhere: through the walls, floors, and ceilings, from outside and neighboring rooms. The person above me walked back and forth all night.

We felt very welcome thanks to the staff, and the rooms are well maintained. The in-room Nspresso machine was a nice bonus.

The place is very clean, has a nice atmosphere, and the staff are friendly. It's an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. I liked the loft lounge on the second floor, with its sofa and gym, where friends can sit and chat over a drink. The two Tesla Chargers in the parking area were a big help.
