Hampton Inn & Suites Washington-Dulles International Airport

We stayed with the family and enjoyed the pool late at night. The gym is open 24 hours, and the hot tub was nice. Staff were very friendly at check-in. With its airport location, free shuttle, and car parking options, it made an excellent base for the airport and Udvar-Hazy.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. The shuttle to the airport was excellent and took less than 15 minutes. We also used the parking program, leaving our car for an extended time for a very reasonable fee, with shuttle service to and from the airport. Suni and Javier at the Front Desk were outstanding for service and friendliness. The shuttle driver, who was somewhat older and a bit more robust, was extremely friendly too. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name.

We expected much better from a Hampton Inn / Hilton property. This experience caused unnecessary stress and ruined our first night. The room was extremely cold when we checked in around 3 PM, and even by 10 PM it was still 59°F, despite repeated assurances that it would warm up. My mother is 72, so this was a serious health and safety concern. When we brought it up again, the front desk staff rudely told us, “If she gets sick, take her to the hospital.” They said there was no maintenance available and no manager on duty, and at first refused to move us. After we complained repeatedly, they finally changed our room. Their attitude throughout was dismissive and unprofessional. A cold room can happen. The lack of care and rude treatment of an elderly guest is unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously and improves staff training and emergency response.

Whew, I needed a last-minute hotel after missing my flight because of the weather, and this place came through. By the time I walked in, Ashanti had already secured me a room. She clearly explained checkout, where to eat, and the complimentary breakfast. Impeccable service from her. If you need a quality place for the night, this is it.
