The staff made us feel at home, and I’m definitely coming back. I’d never heard of Hyatt House before, but it’ll be my choice when I need a hotel. There’s a bar with TVs and plenty of lounge seating for sports fans, and the hotel is close to shopping and places to eat. I’d booked a king studio and got an automatic upgrade to a beautiful, very quiet setup: a living room with fireplace, full kitchen, two king beds with a bathroom for each, and three large TVs. They also have a gym, pool, and conference area. Breakfast was a proper hot meal, with eggs and bacon, not cold cereal and bagels. The staff were warm, kind, and sincere.

The building may be older, but the people here made the stay feel special. James at the front desk was particularly friendly and helpful, and went out of his way for us. The General Manager was welcoming too, which gave me the sense they care about guests. Breakfast had the hot choices you need to start the day. We were comfortable and would gladly stay again.

The front desk guy was friendly and cooperative, but the room itself was obnoxious. I was on the third floor and found marks on the walls, peeling paint, and cracks in the floor. The bathroom smelled like vomit and mold, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Someone came to fix it, but it clogged again soon after. The location felt somewhat inconvenient, and there wasn’t a great view either. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We were staying at the Hyatt House in Herndon, VA while our home was being renovated, and the welcoming staff made a difficult stretch much easier. They were warm, friendly, and accommodating, and we’re grateful for that. It really felt like a home away from home. The hotel was clean, the beds were cozy, and the kids especially liked breakfast and the basketball court. There are pretty trails and some good restaurants nearby too.

We couldn’t stay and left without getting any sleep. The first room had no top latch on the door, which felt unsafe. When we got off the elevator, the smell was like human feces. They moved us to a suite, but its furniture and walls were damaged.
