Residence Inn Herndon Reston

The grounds were lovely, and even with renovations underway everything felt nice. It was peaceful and quiet, with shops within walking distance. We felt at home as soon as we met the General Manager, Abby, who made us feel so welcome. The staff were friendly and kind too. We can't wait to move into the condo. It's perfect!

We loved it! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean enough to feel like home. The front desk accommodated my request for a first-floor patio room, and the place was very pet friendly. The Thursday and Friday prepaid, non-refundable rate was great. Breakfast was great, and so were the pool and outdoor sports courts. I highly recommend this location.

My husband was relocated here for work, so our whole family, dog included, stayed for over a month. Having a friendly staff, prompt service, and clean rooms and grounds made that time much easier and barely painful at all. It's not the Ritz Carlton, with fancy decor, meals, or staff dressed in expensive clothes, but it was worth every penny and more.

The night clerk really made our trip. We arrived at 11:30, and she noticed my husband, our 14-year-old daughter, and I had only a queen room with a pullout bed. She changed us to a setup that gave our daughter her own room upstairs, and my husband and I our own space too. My stay was five days and my husband's was 13. The kitchen had everything I needed, and we could put our garbage outside each day and stay together as a family the whole time. Breakfast was phenomenal every morning. My daughter loved the waffles when they were available, and the bagel breakfast sandwiches were amazing. The pool was lovely, and we swam a lot, but there was only one clean towel available the whole time, so bring your own just in case. The room looked clean and put together, except I found dirty clothes from previous guests under the bed, so it seems the cleaners don't look there. One odd and unnerving thing happened with the fire extinguisher service. We got a note saying to put ours out on the 11th or 12th. I set it outside that evening, but was told to wait until the next day. Then I woke up to someone coming into our room. I thought it was my husband at first, until I heard keys jingling. When I called out, the man was startled, apologized repeatedly, set down the extinguisher, and left. It would have been less alarming if he'd left it just inside the door, but it didn't ruin the stay. We thought it was worth it and will be back.
