Days Inn by Wyndham Hershey

Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were friendly. The room could have been a bit cleaner. We stayed for New Year's Eve, and our main problem was the pool by the desk. Nobody on staff checked on it while kids jumped in and splashed us as we tried to enjoy the hot tub. Their parents weren't around. Kids will be kids, but they can have fun without splashing others, and staff should kindly ask parents to keep them from doing that.

The staff were friendly, but the noise and room issues made it hard to sleep. A large crack in the door let us hear everything, and there was running water we could hear the whole time from somewhere besides the faucet. The shower faucet itself dripped continuously, almost like a steady stream. At 6 a.m., an alarm from another guest down the hall woke us and kept going for 15 minutes. Definitely wouldn't recommend it if you actually want to sleep.

The room and beds were comfortable, and parking came with the stay. The washbasin being outside the bathroom was the odd part. Breakfast ran from 6 to 10 a.m., with several dining options nearby. The spread was satisfying, with waffles, cereals, coffee, juice, breads, and cakes. There were plenty of tables, though it got crowded from 8:45 to 10. We stayed with family at Days Inn by Wyndham at Hershey’s. It has a laundry machine, gym, pool, and jacuzzi open until 11 p.m.; there was no lifeguard on duty, but plenty of towels in the pool area. Guest Wi-Fi averaged around 5-6 Mbps, enough for browsing or streaming, but possibly not enough for online work or a stable, fast connection.

The room and bathroom were clean, and the beds were comfy. There wasn't much storage or drawer space for clothes, so we kept most of our things in the luggage. The shower head and faucet in room 210 dripped all night, but I forgot to tell the staff. The front desk staff welcomed us with food recommendations and quickly brought an extra blanket when we asked. The jacuzzi was another plus. We both enjoyed the waffles, coffee, and OJ at breakfast, though scrambled eggs or another meat like bacon would have been preferable to hard-boiled eggs. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay while enjoying Hershey!
