Hershey Travel Inn

The bathroom was a mess, with dark dirt stains in the shower and bath, and paint dripping down the freshly painted walls. A blue tarp outside the bathroom window blocked the view. When I checked in, I asked to see the room first, but the woman at the front desk wouldn't return my credit card and said there were no refunds. No wonder, given the state of the bathroom. I ended up calling the police about the shady front office. I asked the officer whether he got many calls there. He said, “Let's put it this way, you're not the first one to call the police about this place.” I hadn't read the bad reviews before booking, but after seeing the room, I believe them. I wouldn't let my dog stay here. Spend the extra money, or camp in the park. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

The air conditioner didn't work, so the heat was miserable, and my children had to sleep on the floor because we couldn't get another room. The room was tiny for five people, and I paid 250 for one bed without realizing how small it was. I was told I'd have to pay extra because my children were on the property, which I understand, but when I asked to switch rooms, they said no. The woman was rude to my children and me when we asked for towels. With five of us, we could only get two towels at a time. The shower's cloth curtain left the floor soaked, and my daughter fell twice. The toilet wouldn't flush and made loud squealing noises. No one was around when we needed anything. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in. I couldn't be paid enough to stay there myself, let alone bring my children. Don't waste your money.

Outside, there was mold and cracked concrete; inside, we found a dirty bathroom, stained carpet, cracked walls, bugs, and hair in the bed. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude when we asked for a refund after looking at the room. She threatened to call the police and refused to change the sheets, clean the bathroom, or pick up a dirty sock left by the previous guest. The photos on hotel booking sites look about 20 years old, as did the TV. I wish I could post pictures. Please believe me and don't stay here. This motel shouldn't be allowed to operate.

I only lasted about five minutes in the room before checking out. It was disgusting and smelled moldy and very nasty, with a hole in the wall and a filthy walk-in shower. They charged me extra for my seven-month-old son, but provided no sleeping accommodations for him. The desk had told me it was a non-smoking room, yet a guest in the next room was smoking marijuana. The woman at the desk was very rude when I told her how disgusted I was. She gave me attitude and sarcastically said, “Have a great night.” I asked for my money back, but she walked away.
