Tops Motel

We booked a day ahead and planned to arrive around 11pm, so I called that day to check that a late arrival was okay. At the hotel, we rang the doorbell as instructed. A man came out of a back room and let us into the office. When we said we'd booked online, he paused, muttered "hold on," and went back into a room with a private sign on the door. We waited in the lobby. After 5 minutes we rang the desk bell, waited more, rang it again, and still nobody came back after 10 minutes. I was very disappointed with the interaction and the lack of follow-up. We left and drove to twin falls for a room instead. I don't know what happened, but the customer service sucked. Now I have to try to fight the credit card charge.

I found the location extremely convenient, right by the interstate, probably closer than any other motel in the region. I stayed for two nights on separate visits in August of 2025 and enjoyed both. The small rooms were a little different from each other but fairly clean, with A/C, a mini fridge, microwave, TV, free Internet, and a very comfortable bed. This is a budget motel, so don't expect modern appliances or perfection. The staff were polite and checked whether I needed anything else while I was hanging out in the parking lot. My only complaint was the key and door locks, which had a different problem on each visit. I hope they update the key system before I come back around the same time next year.

No frills, just a comfortable room. It's a simple little hotel, and not bad.

Tammy was kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean and pet-friendly. The walls are pretty thin, which is why I took off a star, though that's understandable for the price. My dog woke me up growling at people leaving nearby rooms. They sounded much closer than they actually were.
