We've stayed here twice while attending a conference and really like the accommodations. The breakfast is a fun mix: alongside familiar choices like sausage, eggs, muffins, yogurt, and French toast, you can make Miso soup and get rice. Each room also has a full refrigerator and what you need to prepare your own meals.

It's a nice extended-stay hotel with the amenities I'd expect as a business traveler. The room was a little dated, but clean, and the smart TV and internet worked great, which matters most to me. The staff are great too. I left my headphones behind, and manager Dayhna went out of her way to help get them sent back. I'll stay here again when I'm back in Hillsboro.

Dayhna, the manager, really went out of her way to help after we left a pair of boots in the closet. She found them, explained how I could get them shipped back, and even took them to the post office so I didn't need to arrange a pickup. The staff were friendly throughout our stay, and our room was clean and roomy, with good AC and a comfortable bed. It's close enough to Portland for an easy visit without staying in the city. We had a wonderful time and would stay again.

I stay here one night a week for work and have for four months. I've tried three other name brand hotels, but I keep choosing the Larkspur. It's clean and fresh, and feels new even though it's been open for years. I've never noticed weed or cigarette smells. Maybe what Gupta smelled was pungent cooking instead? The smaller dining area doesn't bother me. If you're antisocial like Pancake sounds, you can take your meal to your room and eat quietly. The hotel is near restaurants and the Hillsboro Library, and parking and WiFi are free. Holiday Inn Portland charges $12 a day for parking. There aren't bar fridges or microwaves for cooking. Instead, rooms have full-sized refrigerators for cooling or freezing, plus two-burner stovetops. You can cook pasta and sauce at the same time, and there are pots, pans, plates, silverware, glasses, and plenty of cups.

The location worked perfectly for nearby businesses, shops, and places to eat, and the price felt worthwhile. We had an early check-in, a very good breakfast, and plenty of parking. The lobby and rooms were very clean, and the bathroom was great. The kitchenette had more than enough for a longer stay. Highly recommend it.
