Best Western View Of Lake Powell Hotel

After visiting Page for 11 years, I can't believe this was my first time staying here. The beautiful views, plenty of parking, and kid-friendly spaces were great, and the hotel has a gym, pool, and jacuzzi, though the jacuzzi is currently closed and due to reopen in the summer. There's also a business center with internet access and photocopying, board games, and free coffee 24/7. The staff were kind from check-in through checkout and deserve recognition for their hard work. JT and Denise at the front desk, the breakfast room staff, and housekeeping were all superstars. I've stayed in hotels around the world in 19 countries, but this place in Page, Arizona won my heart. I'm definitely coming back, and next time I'll stay longer.

Yvettes made our stay especially comfortable. She went out of her way to look after us and make sure we were doing well. The room felt fresh and was nicely furnished, and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the facilities were. Would we come back? Absolutely. We're already looking forward to another visit soon. The view was nice, and the front desk service from Yvetts was outstanding. She was friendly and helpful when we came in for one night. Our first room, just behind the desk, smelled terrible, as if someone had just used the bathroom and had a #2 problem. We also found dried yellowish stains on the sheets. Yvetts apologized, understood the issue, and moved us next door right away. She checked that room first, then let us inspect it and confirm it worked for us. It had no bad smell or stains, and she made sure we were satisfied and discounted the nightly rate for the trouble. She went above and beyond. The rooms are dated, but the nightly price made sense. Still, we probably won't return because of the housekeeping and cleanliness. The walls are thin too, and voices from the breakfast area directly below kept waking our family early in the morning.

I liked the location and the little patios outside the ground-floor rooms when I stayed here in 2021. I had a reservation for May of 2026, but Marriott emailed that the property was no longer franchised and I'd have to confirm or cancel it myself. The phone number I had only reached a machine; I left a message and got no reply. Google Maps now says it's permanently closed. Too bad. I don't know if it will reopen.
