The grounds were spotless and well cared for, and the heated kids’ pool was warm enough for swimming even while temperatures were in the 50s and 60s. There’s easy, clean access to a private beach right by that pool. The small restaurant nearby is fine, though nothing special. Around the resort, parks, groceries, restaurants, bars, and golf are only minutes away, as far as I could tell. We’d been trying to book at the HGVC on Hilton Head for years, but it’s so popular that we finally tried the off season. We booked two units, one partial ocean view and one resort view. They were nearly identical. The partial ocean view had a TV in the master bathroom mirror and an ice-and-water dispenser in the fridge, and you could see the ocean from both the living room and master bedroom. The resort-view unit also had an ocean view from its balcony. We’d happily stay again if we can get reservations in the warmer months, when I can imagine spending the whole day at the pool.

We spent four nights at the HGV Ocean Oak Resort after getting away from a winter storm in the Upstate. The beachfront location was excellent, and our unit was spacious and clean. We were traveling with my MIL, so we booked a handicap accessible unit. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be back.

My grandson’s main wish was to get to the beach, and that made our impromptu trip work out. My twins love looking at the beach, even though they’re not as keen on the water, so the beach view made their day too. The weather was a bit chilly, but the family still got to enjoy both the beach and pool. We’d switched plans after our previous accommodation fell short, and Hilton’s team impressed me right away by working with us and meeting our needs. The room was spacious, had just the right temperature, and was a real ‘chef’s kiss’. Shopping was within walking distance, which the family appreciated. We may prefer Caribbean beaches, but I’d still come to HH to stay at Ocean Oak Resort.

We needed a short break after losing a family member, and Hilton Grand Vacations Club Ocean Oak Resort Hilton Head gave our family a lot to be grateful for. The room, service, and amenities were better than described, and the staff made us feel at home. It’s also in a fantastic spot, with just about anything you could want a stone throw away. I can’t say enough good things about the stay. Thank you so much, we’ll be back.
