NEXTLoft Extended Stay & Suites

After my car was stolen the night before check-in, I arrived without my phone or credit cards and was having one of the worst moments of my life. The hotel staff helped me contact my family, let me use their computer, and were completely understanding. They showed real concern for me and helped calm me while I tried to get myself together. Briana and Eric made me feel especially comfortable after what happened, and Anya and Shiloh are angels too. I’m so grateful I stayed the night there. I couldn’t have asked for better people to help when I needed it.

The front desk attendant was great about letting us check in so late, but the room needed a lot of work. Drawers were broken, baseboard trim was missing, there were rust stains, and the room had no soap or toilet paper. The missing supplies were sorted out the next morning. Still, the general room maintenance left a lot to be desired.

For an economical extended stay, this has been a positive experience for me. The staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful, and the rooms have what you need for comfortable sleep. There’s a kitchenette with a two-burner stove, regular sink, microwave, full-size fridge, and plenty of cabinets for groceries, pots, and pans. The pool is a nice extra, and the staff are working on renovations and upgrades. It’s a good spot for walking to the outlets and nearby kid-friendly places like chick fil a, with several parks within a few miles. The beach is about 20 minutes away. I haven’t personally seen anything that made me fear for my safety or my children’s, though common sense is needed at any hotel. If you want a basic, affordable place with useful amenities, this fits. For luxury extras, you’d need to look elsewhere on the island and pay the much higher prices.

We booked one night for July 6, 2018, and the room hadn’t even been cleaned from the previous guest when we checked in. They moved us to another room, but bugs were crawling in and out around the AC unit, and something was leaking down the wall from the fuse box. The next room was still gross and dirty. I’ve never had an experience like this and can’t understand how the hotel is still operating. Stay here if you want a nasty, dirty place.
