The location was good, the lobby and room were generally kept up, the service was wonderful, and I liked the floors and furniture. I hate hotel carpet, so the floors were a real plus. I’m giving four stars, though 3.5 would be more accurate. The gym was awful: the A/C, TV, and elliptical didn’t work, and the treadmill should be thrown out. Only the bike worked. I didn’t try the sauna. None of our bathroom outlets worked, and the shower made an awful high-pitched noise. We told the front desk about both. Those problems wouldn’t stop me from staying again, since the place was nice overall, but for the price, everything should work. Thank you.

Two days into my stay, I noticed fuzzy black patches on the towels I’d been using for my face and toothbrush. When I put on my glasses, it turned out to be black curly hair all over several towels. The microwave was nauseating too. I had to hold my nose when opening it, and it looked like it had never been wiped down. On arriving in the room, I found water covering the bathroom floor and no shower curtain. I called to ask if that was standard and was told there was supposed to be one, but I’d have to come down to get it. So I walked down three flights and carried it back up to install it myself. They said “you’re welcome” as if they’d done me a huge favor. And the moment I stepped off the elevator, I was hit by the smell of weed. Disgusting. I guess you get what you pay for!

As we were unpacking around 10 p.m., a family of roaches came out from the nightstand and behind the headboard. My husband also spotted a spider on the lamp and killed it. I called the front desk right away and said the room was infested and we wanted to check out. We had a toddler with us, it was late, and the bugs made this a real hassle. The woman said she’d check with her manager about a refund, then told me she could refund me but would charge for one night because they couldn’t rent the room. I couldn’t believe I’d be charged for not wanting to sleep with roaches. We left for a new hotel down the street, not wanting to risk taking bugs home. Roaches multiply and are very hard to get rid of. Stay at your own risk, now you know. We picked this hotel to spend Thanksgiving with our son, who’s stationed at Ft Stewart. It looked new or renovated when we booked, but turned out to be smelly and disgusting. We checked in around 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve. The room seemed physically clean and okay to sleep in, though it had a slight smell the front desk person blamed on the A/C. I bought disinfectant and air freshener at Walmart before going to my son’s place to cook dinner and visit with family. Pick your poison, we can’t for 100, Alex.

Brittany was friendly, professional, and knew what she was doing. When our plans changed, she helped us quickly and made everything hassle-free. Great experience all around.
