I stayed for a week and dreaded it. There’s mold in the bathrooms, and the staff’s attitudes were awful. One housekeeper, who I assume was an owner, asked if I had a job as I was leaving my room. Another man gave me a hard time and had a terrible attitude when I extended my stay. When I went to extend it again, the front desk guy asked for my card, which I gave him, but didn’t ask for anything else. The next time he asked for my ID, which was fine, but complained that I should have it ready because he’d made an “exception” the time before. I told him he should have said I needed my ID when I first asked what to provide. Before I even mentioned that I’d paid through a third-party booking app, he said, “you have to pay for it.” He just wanted to be rude. At 11:08, while I was packing to leave, an older woman came to my door and said checkout was at 11 and they would charge me. I said it was only eight minutes late and asked what they’d charge for. I shut the door, grabbed my things, and left. I only stayed that long because extending was easier, though I think they disliked that I added a couple of days. It’s a hotel. Get a grip. Every one of them had a disgusting attitude. This place is terrible.
The room seemed clean, the bed was clean, and the bathroom was clean. I found worn clothes in the bottom drawers of both nightstands just as I was checking out, socks in one and a bra and panties in the other. It made me wonder if anyone checks the drawers when cleaning. I’d stay again, but I’d check them before settling in. The room itself wasn’t bad and had lots of pillows. The shower and bathroom were nice, though the shower had no shelf, which was awkward. The people I met on staff were nice, and breakfast was good. There was plenty to do nearby, with lots of restaurants and stores, and it was easy to get to other areas. The parking lot was full of boats for the first couple of days, so parking was a little difficult, but it was free.
We needed space for six people on a quick sightseeing trip, and the price, location, and indoor pool were important. It’s a bit tricky to get to the hotel, but the quiet, calm setting made it worthwhile. Our two-bedroom suite gave us plenty of room. The front desk person had helpful information about tourist spots. The pool was closed the first day as a precaution, then back in service by the next morning. Breakfast was a real treat, with lots of variety and food so good it kept us full until late lunch. The woman preparing it brought such a warm, sweet feeling to the morning. We’re looking forward to telling others about our stay.
The hotel makes accommodations for older and disabled guests. I stay here often, and the 24-hour coffee station is always stocked with hot, good-quality coffee that isn’t bitter. Check-in was pleasant, very courteous, and efficient. They recognized me as a Platinum member and thanked me for it. The night staff were friendly and courteous too.
Our second-floor room was in poor condition, and the hotel didn’t give us a good experience. The bathroom wasn’t maintained well: the shower was dirty and moldy, and there were unrepaired holes in the cabinetry where the toilet paper holder had been moved. The pull-out couch had a stained mattress and cushions that were both stained and torn. There was about three inches of ice on the refrigerator’s freezer element. The TV remotes didn’t work, and the internet kept dropping its connection. The second floor also constantly smelled of marijuana while we were there.
