WoodSpring Suites Holland - Grand Rapids

The room was filthy, the bathrooms weren’t clean, and there was mold in them. There was no soap, no trash pickup, no coffee, and no internet. The place smelled like weed inside and out, and there’s no lobby. They say rooms aren’t cleaned for 15 days. The kitchen didn’t help either: the stove didn’t work and the microwave was broken. I’ve never seen rooms this dirty. Check out the pictures. I still don’t understand how this is rated a 3 star hotel. It should be 1 star. I had to check out and find a Marriott instead. Then I got this response: “We are an Extended stay Hotel, our offering are different”. What kind of nonsense is that? It was a crappy room, and calling it an extended-stay offering doesn’t make the dirty bathroom or broken microwave okay. The stove probably still doesn’t work, either. That’s what they call an extended-stay offering?

There are places for all sorts of things nearby, and you can walk to them. The rooms could use some improvements and updates, though customer service could be better sometimes. I especially want to mention Trinity and her husband, along with Melinda. They were welcoming, understanding, and extremely kind, and they’re the people I interacted with most. Some very strange and difficult things happened during my stay, and they always came to help.

Kelly on the staff was amazing during my stay, really kind and helpful. The rest of the staff were nice and super helpful too. I had a great time.

We moved here from Missouri to Michigan, and Terrence and his staff made us feel at home and very welcome. The hotel is clean and quiet. They have a big dog residence, which is cool, and it stays quiet too. I’d definitely recommend it for a short or long stay.
