Tropizar Motel

Cynthia had our room ready and clean when we arrived, and greeted us at the door. We called ahead for Bike Week 2021 after deciding to leave our toy hauler at home. We don’t often need a room and are usually skeptical about renting one, but Cynthia assured me she could accommodate our truck and trailer, and she did. The motel is a little dated, but for the price I’d much rather have a clean, friendly place than pay more for a fancy one. It’s close to everything during Bike Week. We’d happily stay again.

They took the top mattress off the bed and put it on the floor for us, expecting us to sleep on the box spring. We needed two beds. The rooms were very dirty and not clean at all. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The blankets were filthy, with cigarette holes and burn marks, and the bed had a thin 6-inch mattress on a metal frame. You could feel the rails as soon as you sat down. We’d paid for a non-smoking room, but got a smoking room, and the smoke detector was wrapped in a bag. The AC was off, so the room was uninhabitable, and even when on it struggled to cool the small corner where it sat. The bathroom was in questionable condition too. We expected little from a motel, just a comfortable place to sleep, but these were a few of the major problems. Good luck dealing with the owners if something goes wrong. We didn’t stay.

We live in Palm Beach County and love traveling, trying different foods, and discovering places both nearby and farther away. On this visit we tried Tropizar Motel. It’s not fancy, but it was clean and organized, with basic equipment. The price was good, the customer service was good, and the staff were very nice and helpful, especially the Indian couple.
