Caribbean Resort by the Ocean

We spent a week here on vacation and liked being close to the beach and shops. The room was small but worked for us, and we enjoyed the entertainment at the tiki bar on a couple of nights. The kitchenette was okay, though the fridge and stove had issues that we managed around. The worst part was having no hot water. The ocean was warmer than our showers. One small suggestion: put the towel holders lower for shorter people, and add a place to hang a robe on the back of the door.

The pool was small, and construction between the hotel and the beach made mornings noisy. Inside, the room smelled strongly of cleaning fluid, was freezing, and left me with two asthma attacks overnight. It was 40 degrees outside. The day supervisor said I should've used the heater, a small vent with a knob, or called the office, but we didn't get to the room until after 1 am and the office was closed. He didn't apologize or offer compensation. For what I paid for one night, I will never stay here again. Please stay away.

The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and a few minutes' walk from the bandshell. I loved the full-size kitchen, and the tiki bar with live music was a great addition. Beer prices were good, and there's a heated saltwater pool. Everyone working there was super nice and helpful. They even kept my headphones safe for a couple of days after I left them behind, before I realized they were missing. It was a really great stay.

The location is hard to beat, the price is fair, and the clean rooms had everything we needed. Service was very good. My only issue was the AC in one of our rooms. It worked poorly.
