The casino brings the usual hustle, smoke, and crowds, and service occasionally slowed down. Popular restaurants may need reservations. Even so, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, FL gave us a lively, fun stay, especially for gaming, shows, or a spirited weekend. The place feels like a little Vegas on the Atlantic coast, with bright lights and plenty going on. The rooms and facilities are modern, generally clean, spacious, and comfortable, with good amenities. There are lots of games, a sports betting lounge, and a venue that gets big names and high-energy shows. Restaurants and bars add to the options, and the rock-and-roll theme gives the property a distinctive feel. A solid four-star destination for a weekend getaway, concert, or event.

We stayed three regrettable nights and won’t be back to this Hard Rock. The inside is pretty, but that’s about all it has going for it. We’ve stayed at the Hard Rock in Tampa, and kept saying, “Tampa would never!” It’s fantastic there, with updated rooms, a nice cool temperature, and consistently great service. Here, four of us in a two queen room got just two towels. We called every day, but even after housekeeping came there were still only two. The bathroom plumbing also gave us trouble. At the Harvest buffet, our server took 15 minutes to bring drinks, and we had to ask other servers to check on him. People beside us with a different server got theirs right away. He said the wait was because there were no clean cups. The casino floor was so warm that we only spent a little time there. You couldn’t pay us to stay again.

The valet staff spoke rudely and confrontationally, and when I asked at the front desk where the restroom was, the employee pointed without even looking at me. Those gestures may seem small, but they say a lot about hospitality at a place presenting itself as a luxury destination. I’ve been a Hard Rock customer for many years and have visited venues around the world, including across Europe, Budapest, New York, several Caribbean islands, and Japan. I know the level of hospitality the brand usually represents, so the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida was a real disappointment. I arrived for business after a long trip with friends, expecting a great experience at such an iconic location. The interactions didn’t ruin my day, but they did ruin my image of this property. Compared with other Hard Rock locations I’ve visited, this one stands out for the wrong reasons. The staff should show much more professionalism and respect.

This is the form letter they send back. It’s clear they don’t even read what you wrote: there’s no mention of your concerns, no action that would actually change things, and no real apology. Saying sorry for “your experience” makes it sound like it may or may not have happened, as if it’s just your perception. They need to make this a safer venue and train their personnel, security, and the customer service agents responding to reviews better. Do better.
