We paid $225 per night for a two-night stay booked through Capital One Travel. The location is great, but the property felt neglected and the owners were unresponsive. We arrived late after an I-95 shutdown and found the door slightly open, which was alarming. In the kitchen sink there was sand and gravel. The coffee maker still had someone else's used filter and grounds, and there was dish soap but no sponge or brush, no paper towels, and no spare toilet paper. The worst issue was hot water that ran out after three or four minutes in the shower. I texted Ely at 9:05 a.m. Saturday, not Sunday, and called at 10:45 when I hadn't heard back. She replied that she preferred texting and said she'd contact a plumber immediately. Hours passed without an answer to my follow-up texts. Another renter told me Nicolas was working at a neighboring property. I told him about the problem, and he went back there. I stopped his truck as he was leaving after repeatedly telling Ely I had an appointment and needed a shower. I was getting into my vehicle when Nicolas came to my unit. He and a maintenance worker checked the water heater, but no one told me what they found, and the shower still only gave us three or four minutes of hot water. Nicolas said a plumber wasn't available. At checkout I raised our dissatisfaction and sent photos of the dirty refrigerator, faulty toilet, and short hot-water supply. Ely and Nicolas never replied. I did not disappear, and nobody contacted me further. In response to the owners, I have call times, texts, photos, and every receipt to support what I described, and will gladly provide them. The communication was abysmal. They should acknowledge this wasn't handled properly.
At 2 a.m. on 1/18/2026, we were locked out of Room #9 because the access code didn't work. Our passports and luggage were inside, and my child had an early flight. We called the manager and emergency number around 20 times, messaged through Booking.com, and contacted support. No one responded for over an hour, leaving us outside in extreme distress. This isn't a hotel, and there are no staff on the premises. They were probably in another state. With no help by 3:30 a.m., I paid about $150 for a locksmith to break into the room. The room also had visible mold on the ceiling, which seemed like a serious health risk. It was humiliating and completely negligent. This place is a scam. Don't book here.
Great location, and the room was okay, but the bed was awful and sagged in the middle. The tub had rust, and the toilet seat was broken.
It's a peaceful spot if tranquility is what you want. The boardwalk and Hollywood Beach are just a few steps away, with a huge stretch of beach and blue water. There are shops and restaurants a couple of blocks from Oregon street, and you can stroll along the boardwalk with an ice cream.
The room was dirty and moldy, with hair in a corner and in the refrigerator. The bathtub and microwave had heavy rust, which was gross, and two window locks were broken so they couldn't be secured. There were four remotes to control everything, but no instructions at all, and the air conditioning was faulty.
