We come to Alaska every year, and this is the nicest place we’ve stayed. Lori is a wonderful host, and her B&B is cozy and full of charm. Homer is known for fishing and bears, but the photography is stunning too, especially the view from her backyard. Breakfast was nice as well. A really lovely place to stay in Homer, or anywhere else in Alaska.

This was my third weeklong stay here, and it’s still my go-to in Homer. It’s quiet, warm, cozy, and comfortable. The shades kept the nighttime daylight out, and I woke up to a wood burner going. The bay view is beautiful, with birds to watch. On earlier visits, there was even a moose outside my window. The hospitality is superb.

Lori is a friendly, helpful host, and her dog Yarra is the sweetest. We had a second-floor room with a lovely view of Homer Spit and Kachemak Bay, tucked one street off the main road between downtown and the Spit. It felt private and quiet, even with the convenient location. Breakfast included continental options, and you could also cook eggs in the big, well-stocked kitchen. We scrambled some to go with two kinds of delicious toasted bread from Two Sisters Bakery. There’s a separate kitchenette upstairs with a fridge, sink, microwave, coffee, and tea, plus its own entrance, which meant we didn’t have to walk through the main floor to reach our room. A lovely place where you can socialize or keep to yourself, as you like. We stayed two nights and recommend it.

We came for a fishing trip and had a great stay. The owners were warm and friendly, and lovely to talk with. Our room was comfortable, with a great view of the water, mountains, and the Spit. The self-serve breakfast was fantastic, with homemade bread and jam, eggs, cereal, and more. I’d highly recommend staying here in Homer!

I stayed here in both 2021 and 2022, and the owner and hostess is excellent at making guests feel welcome. It’s well located for heading out to see bears or do other activities. I’ve also found it a good place to work remotely for a while.
